Someone said to me

I've been desperate for a good chill out day and today was just that. Last night was rainy, but I woke up to bright sunshine in my room. I got up and ran some errands, went to the grocery store and scored the bluest blueberries, and came home and listened to Carla Bruni and daydreamed.

I took a shower, slathered on body butter and got under my covers, put on my scented leopard print eye mask and took a nap in the sun. This is my trick to super soft skin! I call it 'Kitten in the Sun', cause you're so soft afterwards your partner will purr. (Also just a good excuse to meditate and nap!)

I'll most likely spend the rest of the day with a good cup of tea and my daydreams.

What did you do this weekend?

The Mighty Boosh

Come with us now on a journey through time and space...
to the world of the mighty boosh...

If you have lived this long and never encountered the world of
The Mighty Boosh...well...let's just say you're lucky you've met me.
Now, let's meet them!

What is the Mighty Boosh? It's been described as a loose cardigan of ideas, a fizzy nightmare, a raffle and so on. If you ask me it's like a dream you have after a night of heavy eating. Colorful, fun,
completely weird and has great music. Basically it's about two best friends, Howard Moon and Vince Noir.

Depending on which series you're watching they're different things from zookeepers,
guys who live in a flat with a shaman and his ape familiar or shopkeeps of said shaman.
They're forever in different bands and getting into scrapes with black magic and having adventures.
It's a very hard show to describe so let's just watch, shall we?

From my second favorite episode, Vince meets the Crack Fox:

This is when Howard meets Old Gregg...

Vince tries to decide what to wear to a cabin for the weekend:

Creeped out AND intruiged? Sweet! This show is honestly all kinds of awesome so I highly suggest watching. If you're in America the show airs on Adult Swim at 1:30 on Sunday Night/Monday morning. They do seem to cut out quite a bit though (there's always some naughty langauage) so I suggest watching it from here.

I've done nothing.

Where I have I been? Nowhere. What have I done? I've done nothing!

It's been a crazy two weeks. On January 3rd I had a huge list of things to do. I looked cute, see?

Before I left I made faces in the mirror, kind of my favorite thing on Earth to do.

I love a good fish face. Just really flattering!! I want to make this face all day.

I picked up my best friend, G, and we went to Ikea. And because I'm a total genius I got the wrong thing so we had to turn around and go back. Doh! When we're alllllmost there a cab backs into me at a red light. Oh my gosh! Muh baby. If the cab hadn't had a hitch on the back nothing would have been happend as he was barely moving. We stood outside for like 10 minutes in the frigid freeeeeezing cold getting each other's info and junk. It wasn't a pleasant day :(

On Monday I started to feel funky and by Tuesday I was full blown sick. I really think it was from being out in the cold all day on Sunday. I took two days off of work which I never ever ever do. Along with copius amounts of tea, this is what my life looked like.

I learned that I sound 100% like Donald Duck when I gargle. Did you know that's it nearly impossible to laugh hysterically and gargle at the same time? Anyway, I was really bummed out that all this stuff was happening but I decided to take it as a sign that I need to slow down and stop trying to do so much. I've been more mellow and the happy has returned! Two days of meditation will bring you alot of answers. (Except where to go with my newfound Donald Duck gargle awesomeness.)

My wireless internet just disappears randomly and when I try to pick it back up I always see Dick Butkis and laugh hard. Who is the random person who named his wireless Dick Butkis and can I buy him a beer? Toss around the pigskin?

And this has nothing to do with anything but the other day I was so so so lazy that I couldn't bother to grab a bowl and was grabbing my cheez-it's and putting them on top of the box. I guess I was being absent-minded and I kept trying to grab these two and couldn't figure out why I was having a problem until I realized they were pictures on the box and not real. I laughed so hard. I mean really, what a doofus!

Cheez-Its are so gross by the way. You know how you get cravings for totally gross things sometimes? Like Cheez-Its or Chips Ahoy. You know there are far better superior products but only a Cheeto will do? What are your gross foods?

Fragrance!

In 2010 I am on the search for the perfect fragrance. Technically I think I've probably already found it. I wore one perfume religiously a few years ago that would seemingly entrace people. When I moved from my parents house they both made mention that they missed walking into my bathroom and smelling that lovely scent. What was it?

It was miss Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely!

However being Berry means you get bored with the same old same old. So I'm on the look out (smell out?) for something new. Finding a fragrance isn't as easy as it should be as not everything smells the same on everyone. Florals seem to smell really nice on me but I'm in love with spicy, oriental scents. Will I find one that actually smells good on me? I hope so! I'm willing to try all sorts of perfumes though. Sephora has an amazing new feature in stores and online called The Fragrance Finder! You can play with it here! It has a catalog of just about 30 billion scents so you're bound to find something absolutely amazing.

Here are some I'm looking at:

I saw a commericial for YSL's new purfume, Parisienne.

I went online to see what it was comprised of . Oohh blackberry, damask rose and sandalwood, that sounds delicious! I went immediately to Sephora to try it on. I got a sample of it and it's nice but I'm not crazy about it on me. I gave the sample to my sister and it smelled really great on her.

The fragrance finder said I might like DNKY's Be Delicious Fresh Blossom. It has rose, apple and grapefruit. Mmmm.

Fresh's Hesperides, which contains Italian lemon, orange, grapefruit, bergamont,  lotus flower, jasmine, musk and peach. Wow! I love scents by Fresh as they're always...well fresh. Can't wait to try this one.

This one from The Body Shop sounds promising as well. It's called Love ETC. It contains pear, jasmine, heliotrope, vanilla and lily of the valley. Oohhh!

I'll definitely be keeping everyone updated on my search!

What perfumes/scents do you wear? Anything you'd like to try? Share!

New Year New Sparkle

A New Year is upon us! I always get really excited this time of year.
As maybe the only person who enjoys getting older I find it interesting to see how
much I've changed in the past year. I love making resolutions as well because
I only pick fun things I'll enjoy. One of my resolutions for this year was to go nuts in
Sephora, which I got to do on my birthday. With resolutions like this who would
want to fail?

What are my resolutions this year? Let's see:
~ Respond to things right away. Don't answer people 'in my head'
~ Be super grateful every day
~ Learn all of the words to Falco's Der Kommisar in perfect German by May (i heart falco!~)
~ Make fabulous dish gloves (in a vain attempt to get me to wash dishes)
~ Acquire random goodies for my home and myself

As I'm inspired daily by nearly everthing I'm sure I'll be adding to my list!

What are you inspired to do in 2010?
